Major teaching hospital improves clinical laboratroy workflow through re-engineering.

The clinical chemistry laboratory was outdated and unproductive. With the assistance of a Woodbury Partners principal, the lab identified several potential new reagent systems. After appropriate clinical evaulation, the lab completed extensive cost and productivity analyses before choosing a vendor. Upon completing the implementation, turn around time has decreased, costs are down and productivity is up.

Orlando based Start-up clincial lab goes from an idea to full operations in 6 months.

The first venture capital backed start-up clinical lab in the country for a number of years initiated operations in February of 2002 after 6 months of build-out. Woodbury Partners provided several senior management consultants to the effort including acting COO, and two very experienced IT consultants. Lab operations are under way, all major instrumentation is interfaced to a fully functional lab information system and the lab's state license was obtained after an inspection that the state inspectors called the best initial inspection that they've ever performed.
